Have you ever felt like everything was going right, you had all these great plans, and you were excited to get everything started? Then all of sudden life hits.... you loose your job, your significant other breaks up with you, or find out that a loved one is sick. Unfortunately, these things happen beyond our control. However, it does make you put a hold on your future plans to focus on the now and prioritize whats important. Well everyone, life happened these past couple months and I have been completely absent from my blog.
In my opinion its very hard for me to happy and positive on social media all the time especially when difficult things are happening in my life. Social media sometimes becomes a platform for people to show how amazing life is, even though they are miserable or depressed inside. I definitely did not want to do that, but I think we all do our best work when we are in a clear state of mind anyways. I think one of the best parts of life is learning. Learning who you are, how to love yourself, how to forgive yourself, and how to grow. Its crazy, but in such a short period I feel like I learned a lot. One of the biggest thing I learned was that life can seriously change in a blink of an eye so do whatever, and be whoever you want to be. Its okay to plan in the future, but remember that its okay to set things aside when you need to take time to be with yourself, and loved ones. Another tough lesson, was learning who is there for you. Unfortunately, this one sucks but its so important to know. Its the people that no matter what petty little arguments happened in the past, they are still there for you when something important and difficult is going in your life. I truly appreciate and feel blessed for those people in times like these.
The most important thing that was learned, and that everyone needs to grasp is that we need to stop judging one another. Now, I get it everyone judges unfortunately, in some way or another. I definitely have judged, and in one part of my life I judged a lot. However, coming out of high school I put in a conscious effort into realizing my actions and what I am saying. I think thats important to do that because sometimes we judge automatically. We are built as humans to come to conclusions and assumptions about life so that we can make sense of it in our own heads. In this context I'm talking about judging someone when you have no idea what is going on in their life. People like to think that they got an idea of who people are because humans have a tendency to want to see themselves as right and moral. Judging comes from a lack of self-esteem. Therefore, we judge to make ourselves look like better people, so that our self-esteem can stay in check. Its a security blanket to make sure we are reaching our personal and societal standards of what is right or wrong. Unfortunately, a lot of us don't take in consideration the power of the situation, which is how certain events could have contributed to ones actions. Instead, we rely on corrupted rumours that get spread from one person to another. Remember that game telephone that everyone played as a kid? Well, that game is a perfect representation of how rumours get spread and what the final rumour becomes. Something that is so far from the truth that it doesn't even make sense. The solution to that is understanding that ones actions go beyond what you know or what you've heard. Regardless if you know or don't know the situation, we should understand anyway that there are deeper reasons why certain things happen. Therefore, the only people that I choose to be around are those that do not believe everything they hear, that put an effort in trying to understand others, and are just happy for life and others.
With that being said, I am back blogging which I am happy about. However, I am going to change up certain things until I can get settled and figure out a schedule for myself. In the meantime, I am going to try and post once a week. Not always on Friday, but anytime during the week. I have a lot more photography coming from graduations, to my first maternity photoshoot, and soon my first new born photoshoot. Super excited with everything thats going to come, so stay tuned!
